Meet Patrick, AI and Legal Expert and Author!
Artificial intelligence is widely hailed as a miracle of technology, with the potential to revolutionize the way we live. Like human intelligence, it has the ability to recognize patterns making it a powerful tool for analysis and decision-making, with applications in finance, business, science and media.
However, AI is also haunted by the limitations of the data that feeds it, and just like human intelligence, fall into the same trap of bias and discrimination. When applied to our criminal justice system, the consequences can be severe.
This month, we talk to an expert who stands at the crossroads of technology and the legal system, Patrick K. Lin, author of the book “Machine See, Machine Do” coming out December 13, 2021.
Join us to understand the complicated history of discrimination in the justice system and how AI can get it right or very, very wrong.
